How You Can Help

Boston Share Network is a non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status. Therefore all of your donations are tax deductible. There are multiple ways to help:

  • Financial donations

  • Tangible donations

  • Volunteer opportunities

Financial Donations

Your financial contributions will be utilized to fill the most urgent needs of the shelters.
Boston Share Network is a federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.  We have two options for making
donations
:

1.  Via PayPal, using the DONATE button at the top right hand side of all of our webpages.  P
lease print and retain the PayPal receipt of your donation for your tax records.  If you want a written acknowledgement of your donation or wish to make your donation in honor or memory of someone, please print the donation form here, and mail it to the address in item 2 below.

2.  Write a check to Boston Share Network, complete the donation form here, and mail it to:

Boston Share Network
c/o St. Matthew's United Methodist Church
435 Central Street
Acton, MA 01720-2334

A receipt for donations received via check will be issued shortly after the donation is received.  If you do not receive a receipt, please contact us.

3.  Because it has been our experience that the need never diminishes, we also welcome pledges to encourage regular donations throughout the year and thereby minimize the instances when we are forced to tell our shelters that we have no funds available to help their clients.  If you are in a position to make a pledge, please complete the donation form here and mail it to the address in item 2 above.

Tangible Donations

The shelters in our network serve adults only; therefore we accept only adult-sized clothing.  Neither we nor the shelters have storage space to hold items donated out-of-season, so we ask that your donations be season-appropriate when they are given.  Click here to print the list of items that appears below.
